How to Connect PayPal

What you'll need

A PayPal business account and API credentials from the PayPal Developer portal.

Step 1 — Create an app

Go to developer.paypal.com and sign in with your business account. Under Apps & Credentials, create a new REST app.

Step 2 — Copy your credentials

Your app shows a Client ID and Client Secret. Use the Sandbox credentials first to test, then switch to Live.

Step 3 — Add a webhook

In the same app, open Webhooks → Add webhook and subscribe to payment events. Copy the generated Webhook ID.

Step 4 — Connect in SellDesk

1. Open Settings → Payments.
2. Expand the PayPal card.
3. Paste your Client ID, Client Secret, and Webhook ID.
4. Save changes and toggle PayPal on.

Tip

Sandbox keys start with A for the client ID. Test a purchase with a sandbox buyer account before going live.
